Morgan,I loved the site and your witty, charming, wry, cruel, ephemeral, hazardous writing. WAIT! I left out 'lovely' ... just stick it in the above anyplace. NO, not there! Some other anyplace. I have found, through numerous walks with you, we are disturbingly similar in our thought processes. I have printed the following and taped it on the wall "The concept comes from a screenplay I wrote in the late 1990s, in which a couple of adorable young prep school students, armed only with their quick wits and lacrosse sticks, get stranded in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, where they're pursued by cannibals. To this day, I can't believe no one wanted to throw money at me to make it into a feature."

I want to throw money at you, in lightly stuffed pillow cases full of large $$bills so it won't hurt you.

Somebody give me money to throw!
Love,
--Uncle Joseephus

Thank you very much, Monkey Joe. Should you feel inclined to throw any pillowcase lightly stuffed with large bills, I would happily deign to be struck by one. Failing that, though, I'd be happy just to go on frequent long, meandering walks with you. Ingrid and I love you and miss you.

Preppies of the Apocalypse provide an excellent analysis of this important text.

Simon's devastatingly debonaire derring-do moves (5:40-7:20, e.g.) are rivaled only by Nick's devastatingly debonaire daring do. The presence of both at the same time is more than most people can handle. Preppies of the Apocalypse counsel wisely: "Brace yourself for some bat-shit pretensions." In keeping with their admonition I have just one overwrought, obliquely allusive, appropriately eschatological preppie complaint. The horseheaded figures taken from Cocteau's Orpheus shouldn't just stand there. They should be dancing.

More playtime than money indeed.

PK! Sorry it took me, oh, months to approve and reply to your comment; for whatever reason I stopped receiving comment notifications and hadn't seen your response. Absolutely agree -- the horse-head figures need to dance. If you're going to do a batshit Cocteau homage, commit to it all the way.
